Christmas Collabamajig Mass Participation Song

'12 Days of Fieldwork' - for All Streamers

This year we’re making creating a song that any streamers are invited to perform on. This is a specially written adaptation of the traditional 12 Days of Christmas celebrating the work of Médecins Sans Frontières. We’ve created the song for streamers of all abilities to get involved! In addition to the song we will also be producing a video to highlight all the streamers taking part.
Boring but necessary legal stuff: by contributing in any way to this song you agree to gift all rights to your performance to the Collabamajig project on the understanding that it may only be used for charitable purposes. Your contribution will never be used for commercial gain, by anyone, ever.

See the song we created for the Christmas Collabamajig last year.

Download the demo song, lyrics and related resources from our Google Drive.

Please don’t share these files with anyone. The final song will sound very different but the demo should give you an indication of what is to come and allow you to contribute.

Record your contributions. Please record 2 or 3 takes without any effects (we will add reverb etc consistently later), each take should be slightly different e.g. singing different harmonies if possible. If you play an instrument please record that separately to help us with mixing the track. We will use as much of your contribution as possible, but with many people supporting this project we may not be able to use all contributions in their entirety.

Please record a video of you performing (or replicating the performance) for one of your takes. We just need one complete video that we can edit into the music video of the song. You can record this in your stream room if you like but please deactivate all overlays and remove sponsored imagery.

  1. Use a single static camera
  2. Deactivate all overlays and remove any sponsored logos
  3. This is a seasonal song so feel free to wear something suitable.
We will edit the video together to show a collage of everyone who contributed.

Upload your audio and video to our form along with any notes we might need. Please ensure you enter your streamer name exactly as it appears on Twitch.

It helps us if you can submit your contribution as early as possible!

We’re aiming to include the song on the album which will be released on Dec 5th. The video will follow a few days after.

Please tell your streaming friends!

We’d like as many people as possible to get involved, particularly contributing vocal parts, we’re aiming for this to sound like a big choir!

Join us in fundraising throughout in December!

We’re raising money for Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) and we invite you to join us on a raid train or by hosting an independent fundraising stream in December. Together we can raise essential funds to support this incredible charity.

FAQ

The song will be released on the Christmas Collabamajig 2025 charity album on December 5th through the CC25 Bandcamp account with all proceeds going directly to MSF. The video will be shared on our YouTube later in the month.

Sadly not. This is a fundraising project and the music streaming platforms do not pay anywhere near enough money to justify the cost and effort of publishing the track.

The album will be available on December 5th at cc25.bandcamp.com

All money raised goes directly to MSF, by design the project doesn’t even touch it. Our Bandcamp account is connected to MSF’s bank account for album sale payments, and all Twitch fundraising is conducted through MSF’s Tiltify account.

Yes! If you’ve bought the CC25 album or any previous album on Bandcamp you can play them on stream. Please share details of the project with your chat and encourage album sales and/or donations through our Tiltify link. Some songs from our previous Christmas albums have been released by the artists and risk vods being muted.

Not at all. Christmas is our lazy way of saying seasonal songs, chosen purely for alliteration. The Mass Participation Song is not religious and themes of the other songs on the charity album are entirely down to our participating musicians decide. This is our fourth year coordinating this event and none of the songs created have had a religious theme.

This is an independent initiative not affiliated with either Twitch or MSF. We are in regular contact with Twitch and MSF to share details of our work, both organizations continue to be very supportive.

This is the final Christmas Collabamajig! We’re taking a break next year and may return in 2027 with something new. If we do, details will be shared through our Collabamajig Announce Discord.
